Permian and Triassic Fish Holotypes Kept in the Earth Sciences Museum at the Saratov State University. Article 1. Dipnoian and Elasmobranchian Fishes

The paper presents the first review of the Permian and Triassic fish holotypes belonging to two classes (Sarcopterygii and Chondrich Chondrichthyes), recognized by the authors upon collecting and examining ichthyofauna bone remains from the sections within the East European Platform and the adjacent regions.

Permian and Triassic Fish Holotypes Kept in the Earth Sciences Museum at the Saratov State University. Article 2. Actinopterygian Fishes

The paper presents the first holotype review of all the known Permian and Triassic ichthyofauna taxa of the Actinopterygii class, recognized and described by the researchers from the Saratov State University starting from the 1960-ties and currently kept at the University Earth Sciences Museum. Among the previously unknown taxa, there are two orders, three families, 22 genera and 57 species of actinopterygian fishes. Data on taxonomic compositions is provided, holotype numbers are presented alongside with their geographic and geologic referencing.

Upper Cretaceous Calcareous Sponges of the Southeast of East European Platform

The features of areal distribution and stratigraphic confinement of calcareous spicular sponge forms in the southeast of East European Platform are considered. The skeletons of calcareous sponges essentially representatives of the genus Porosphaera are found in the carbonates of Turonian, Coniacian, Campanian and Maastrichtian, as well as at the base of siliceous formations of the Paleocene. The Maastrichtian calcareous sponges are characterized by the highest species diversity and a wide lateral extension.
