Landscape studies of the Pacific Railway area in the Mulam River basin

The article examines the ecological characteristics of the landscapes along the Pacific Railway route in the Mulam River basin. This project is highly relevant for transportation and logistics infrastructure supporting mineral resource extraction, particularly for increasing exports of high-quality coal from the Elga deposit in South Yakutia to East and Southeast Asia. The railway traverses a remote, uninhabited area with insufficiently studied permafrost landscapes.

The doctrine of geosystems as the basis for the development of the concept of human co-creation with nature

The article discusses the history of the concept of human co-creation with nature, the main approaches to determining the possibilities of its implementation within the framework of the doctrine of geosystems by V. B. Sochava and the experience of landscape planning based on knowledge of the landscape organization of various regions of Siberia. The main content of modern Russian physical geography is the study of the organization of geosystems and landscape and environmental conditions for differentiating environmental management.

Historical and Methodological Aspects of the Application of Landscape-hydrological Analysis in the Study of Geosystems

In this article the analysis, generalization and systematization of materials of hydrological researches of Russian and foreign scientists are carried out to the period since the end of the nineteenth century till the present time. The extent of the investigation of the problem of application of landscape- hydrological analysis in the study of geosystems is revealed; the various approaches and methods are considered

Interaction of Natural Factors and Processes in the Organization of Geosystems and their Sustainable Development

Many aspects of «interaction» of factors and processes, being the central ones in any science and constantly marked for their high urgency, have not been sufficiently investigated so far that is also typical of modern natural sciences. The work defines five basic types of factors and processes: gravitational, geophysical, geochemical (including biotic component), anthropogenic/technogenic, and geoinformational. They are separately studied with methodical application of «interpenetrating» research of the geosphere components, i.e.
