Terrigenous-mineralogic Characteristics of the Bobrikovskian Horizon from the Saratov Trans-Volga Region: Paleogeographical Aspects

Terrigenous-mineralogic characteristics of the Bobrikovskian horizon within the Saratov Trans-Volga Region is provided in terms of the Berezovskaya group of rises. The quantitative and the qualitative composition changes of the heavy fraction minerals within the section have been determined. The lack of abrupt, intermittent changes of any material composition characteristics testifies to the section relative continuity.

Optimizing Land use Structure to Increase the Sustainability of Agricultural Landscapes (on the Example of the Soviet District)

The article discusses several techniques to optimize land use, adapted to the territory of the Saratov Zavolzhje, investigate the dynamics of land relations in the Soviet district of the Saratov region over the past 40 years, made recommendations for the improvement of the Soviet district land use to increase the stability of agricultural landscapes.

Problems of Modern Land Use on an Example of a Semi-Arid Zone on the Left Bank of Volga River in Saratov Region

Chair of physical geography and landscape ecology, geographical faculty Article reveals on an example of farms in Aleksandrovo-Gajski and Novouzenski areas of the Saratov region how active anthropogenic intervention in natural structure and functioning of ecological systems in arid agricultural territories leads to considerable disbalance in ecosystems. Authors show that the dominating position on power of the negative influence on environment is occupied by industrial-economic system presented first of all agrarian subsystem based on renewable resources.

Unique Steppe Natural Complexes of the Left Bank Volga River in Saratov Region

According to field researches of the Left bank Volga river in Saratov region in article are shortly presented descriptions of two steppe sites which are unique for this strongly agriculturally transformed territory. The inference are made about necessity of special researches around there, because it is the most perspective for search steppe protected areas. 

The Analysis and Estimation of Impurity of River Water and Ground Adjournment of the River of Bolshoy Irgiz by Manganese Connections

In article on the basis of field researches August, 2009. The problem of pollution by manganese of waters of the Bolshoy Irgiz river in the Saratov and Samara areas, and also on a water fence of Pugachev is considered. Results of chemical-analytical works about quality of river water in a channel, flood-plain lakes, ponds and water basins of Bolshoy Irgiza, and also on a city water fence and water supply systems are resulted.

The Selection of the Optimal Detection Method for Agricultural Crops by Satellite Images of High Resolution (the Saratov Volga Region as an Example)

The article provides finding the optimal method for crop detection by high resolution satellite imagery (using the Landsat 8 and Sentinel 2 shooting systems as an example), examines the advantages and disadvantages of existing algorithms and recording systems and selects the optimal method. The result of the study is the application of the optimal algorithm for crop detection and its verification on arable lands of the Saratov Volga region.
