Monitoring of Degradation Processes on Slope Agrolandscapes of Povolzhie Region

The influence of climate change on erosion processes in slope agricultural landscapes is determined. Long-term data (1971–2017) on the study of soil protection methods of the main tillage and their impact on water reserves in snow, melt water runoff, soil washout in the changing climate are presented. It was found that the increase of air temperature, the decrease in the depth of soil freezing led to a reduction in the loss of melt water to runoff and a reduction of erosion.

The Comparison of the Methods of Photogrammetry and Laser Scanning for the Establishment of Three-Dimensional Models of Objects and Territories of Archeological GIS (on the Example of the Archeological Excavation of Uvek Hillfort)

Currently, methods of photogrammetry and laser scanning are available for a wide range of users and have been used to solve various application tasks. One of the most popular and main areas of application of these technologies is creating 3D models of objects and territories. The authors of the article, based on the results of a study of the territory of the Uvek hillfort, carried out the construction of 3D models of archaeological excavation site of 2017 using photogrammetry and laser scanning to create archaeological GIS.

Variability of Tropopause Characteristics in the Arctic According to the Data of Atmosphere Radiosounding

The article presents the results of the polar tropopause study in the Arctic during summer seasons for the period from 2012 to 2017. The variability of tropopause height and temperature at this level are analyzed using data from three Arctic aerological stations.

Monitoring El Nino (La Nina) Events in the Pacific Ocean According to the Satellite Radiometers IKOR-M

This report describes the analysis of space-time distribution of the Earth’s radiation balance components in the Pacific Ocean during El Nino (La Nina) obtained using IKOR-M radiometers at the «Meteor-M» satellite No. 1 and No. 2 are analyzed, as well as the results of their comparison with the data of the sea surface temperature.

Interaction of Natural Factors and Processes in the Organization of Geosystems and their Sustainable Development

Many aspects of «interaction» of factors and processes, being the central ones in any science and constantly marked for their high urgency, have not been sufficiently investigated so far that is also typical of modern natural sciences. The work defines five basic types of factors and processes: gravitational, geophysical, geochemical (including biotic component), anthropogenic/technogenic, and geoinformational. They are separately studied with methodical application of «interpenetrating» research of the geosphere components, i.e.

Zoning of the Saratov Region According to Formation of Protein in Spring Wheat

The article presents forecasts of the quality of spring wheat grain according to the method of V. Ya. Yaroshevsky and V. P.

The Assessment of the Development of Intercity Bus Service in the Saratov Region

A number of aspects of intercity bus service in the Saratov region are considered. Based on the duration and cost of the bus ride from the regional center to the municipal centers, economic distances within the region are estimated. It is concluded that there are significant differences in the permeability of the economic space. The coefficient of curvature of the communication is calculated for the cities of the region. The question of potential labor migration from the regional centers to Saratov is also raised.

Benzopyrene in the Atmosphere of Saratov Region Cities

The article provides the results of instrumental studies on the content and concentration of benzopyrene in the surface layer of the atmosphere in Saratov and Balakovo, as one of the most powerful and widespread carcinogen with extremely high and dangerous environmental effects. Characteristic sections of urban areas with the highest benzopyrene concentration were identified.

Prospects of Economic-Geographical Research in the Field of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence, intensive work on which is conducted since the mid-1950s, implies the ability of the machine (robot) to reproduce the logical thinking of man. The world’s first attempt was made to outline promising areas of interpenetration of ideas and methods between developments in the field of artificial intelligence and economic-geographical research.

Formation and Development of Powerful Convective Clouds with Different Characteristics of Wind in the Atmosphere

The description of the developed three-dimensional mathematical model of convective cloud, which includes the equations of hydrothermodynamics, microphysics and electrostatics is given. The model uses an explicit description of microphysical processes based on kinetic equations for particle mass distribution functions. The result of modeling the formation and development of convective clouds at different characteristics of the horizontal wind field in the atmosphere are considered.
